Fields of Mexican Gold Poppies are ringing Peachville mountain now. The west side can be reached from Happy Camp road, high clearance vehicle from the saddle to the corral is the best blooms just 50-100 yards from the road. The center 4×4 road up Peachville Mt. HAS BEEN BLOCKED> Also follow Silver King mine road to the get close to the east side bloom where most of these shots are from. With the rain today expect a second bloom here in March. 1. NOTE; As of 2/16/2012 the Peachville Mountain road that leads up into the wildflowers when you turn at the corral off Silver King Mine Road has been blocked and you no longer can use the Directions on page 131 of the book. To get to the flowers now you will need to come in from Happy Camp Road or follow Silver King Mine Road around to the east side, stay left and the 4×4 road will get you close.
